FAQ’s about Jugs

Do Crocs Jibbitz fit onto my bottle?

Yes they will and you can get bags of bits that will fit your bottle for just a few quid

Are your jugs insulated?
Absolutely. Triple-walled, vacuum-insulated technology keeps drinks cold for 24+ hours or hot for over 4. So whether it’s gym, office, or beach day — your drink stays just the way you want it.

Do your jugs leak?
Nope. Our epic jugs are designed with leakproof lids, so you can throw them in your bag or car without worrying about spills.

Can I put my jug in the dishwasher?
We recommend hand washing your jug to keep it looking its best and to preserve that epic insulation. The lids? Those can go in the top rack. If you do need to dishwash then remove the jacket first.

Are your epic jugs eco-friendly?
100%. Our jugs are made from recycled stainless steel, and we reclaim ocean-bound plastic for our caps. One jug = 50 bottles removed from marine environments. The jacket is made from BIO EVA – sustainably made from Sugar Cane.

Since 2006, onegreenbottle (or BOTL) has been supplying a responsible alternative to single-use plastic water bottles. We started the organisation because we were aware of the dangers of drinking from PET and other plastics. Stainless steel is the safest vessel to drink from. It is chemically inert and doesn’t contain any chemicals that are harmful to health. All of our steel is recycled – saving over 80% of energy consumption over virgin steel. all steel is subject to the strongest testing to conform to FDA and LFGB certification.

Our caps are made from Polypropylene – a material that is free from BPA/BPS/BPF and phthalates/ This material does not impart any chemicals into your drink and conforms to FDA/LFGB certification including EU reg 10:2011

Why spend more on a BOTL when I can get a cheap stainless steel bottle from my supermarket?

Not all bottles are created equally!

Beware of cheap imitations from other shops!! check your bottle has passed LFGB and FDA testing. Through rigorous accredited third-party scientific testing, our brand ensures that every product meets the highest safety and durability standards, providing customers with eco-friendly solutions that they can trust. We believe it is not enough to simply avoid plastic; we need to actively remove it from our oceans!

Why shouldn’t I drink from plastic water bottles?

Plastic bottles contain plasticisers like BPA or BPS or others. This extensive family of chemicals is used to soften plastic but they are known toxins – banned as dangerous in some countries –  and they readily migrate to your food and drinks. Beware of plastics that are labelled BPA free or even BPS Free as they probably contain another member of the endocrine disrupting chemical family. Learn more here
